Effective October 1, 2004, RezOvation will no longer sell Guest Tracker (GT) products, nor will we renew support contracts for existing Guest Tracker installations.
We have supported and enhanced Guest Tracker since we acquired it nearly two years ago and it has been an important part of the RezOvation software product family. Nevertheless, in a continued effort to focus on our core products and how they can best serve our customers, we have made the difficult decision to phase out the Guest Tracker products.
It has always been our goal to provide our customers with the best products and services available, and to this end, we must discontinue this product line and its dated technology.
We understand there will be many questions regarding this decision. Please consult our FAQ below for answers to some of these questions.

Guest Tracker Product Retirement FAQ
Q. With so many Guest Tracker users, why is RezOvation discontinuing the sales and support of Guest Tracker products?
A. Because of its older programming platform, Guest Tracker products are increasingly incompatible with newer Microsoft operating systems and some hardware devices such as printers. Unfortunately, updating Guest Tracker to a current programming platform is not a financially viable option. On a long-term basis, attempting to develop and maintain product lines for both Guest Tracker and RezOvation would not allow us to give you the high standard of support and product development you have come to expect from RezOvation.

Q. I am a current Guest Tracker user. What are my options?
A. You may use Guest Tracker as long as it continues to work on your existing computers. GT support contracts will be honored until their expiration dates, but will not be renewed. You will also be able to receive unlock codes as needed.

Q. How do I upgrade to RezOvation Dessktop?
A. All current Guest Tracker support contracts will be transferred to RezOvation products if you purchase RezOvation Desktop by December 31, 2004.
We have made the transition between the products as simple as possible and most Guest Tracker data can be transferred directly into the RezOvation Desktop by using our free Conversion Wizard. Please see the Guest Tracker Conversion Guide for more information.

Q. What does it cost to upgrade to RezOvation Desktop?
A. Please see the RezOvation pricing page for details.
Q. Why should I upgrade from Guest Tracker to RezOvation Desktop?
A. Because RezOvation is written in a newer programming language, we can keep RezOvation compatible with the rapidly changing world of technology. RezOvation has many features not found in Guest Tracker and future releases of RezOvation Desktop will incorporate even more of your current Guest Tracker features, in addition to numerous other software enhancements.
Some benefits of upgrading to RezOvation include:
- Guest Tracker data that is converted into RezOvation Desktop will be more stable and better protected. RezOvation's database structure guards sensitive credit card numbers and features a newer, more stable database format than Guest Tracker.
- RezOvation Desktop allows for real-time credit card processing, provides visual reservation tools that save you time, special group reservation options, and much more.
- RezOvation Desktop links seamlessly to our new RezOvation Booking Engine to offer even more options and greater flexibility for guests who wish to book online from your website or the Global Distribution System (GDS).

Q. I've paid for additional support for Guest Tracker. Does it transfer over To RezOvation Desktop if I upgrade?
A. Yes, as long as your support contract has time remaining as of the date of the transfer. In other words, if your GT support contract runs through June, 2005 and your purchase RezOvation Desktop, you will automatically receive a RezOvation support contract good through June, 2005. Renewals thereafter will be at the then current price for RezOvation software support.

Q. Will RezOvation provide future maintenance releases for Guest Tracker products?
A. RezOvation has ceased all development for Guest Tracker and no further updates for Guest Tracker products will be created. The final version of Guest Tracker is version 3.5, which was released early in 2003.

A. Yes. You can get an unlock code online.
