"Problem with database connection" error
- Confirm that each computer on the network has the same version of the program installed.
- If the error is occuring on only some computers on the network, but not all, confirm that the affected computer(s) can access the network database. This can be confirmed by going to Start > Network Places. Open the folder that contains the database (typically called "RezOvation on SERVERNAME" where SERVERNAME is the name of your server computer.
The database is slow, and sometimes reports do not have correct information.
- Close RezOvation Desktop on all computers.
- Go to Start > Programs > RezOvation > RezOvation File Utility. A small box will appear. If the File Utility is not shown in your list, you may access it by opening Windows Explorer and going to: C:\Program Files\RezOvation. Double left click on the ROUtility.exe file.
- Make sure that the screen says, "ready" before attempting to repair the data file.
- Select Edit > Purge > Temp. You will not receive a confirmation.
- Close the File Utility and launch RezOvation Desktop.
