1. Open the RezOvation File Utility by going to Start > Programs > RezOvation > RezOvation File Utility.

2. Select File > Restore from Backup from the menu.

3. You will be prompted to erase your existing data file. Choose OK.

4. Select the backup file to restore. If the file is on CD or other storage device, make sure that this device has been connected and is accessible. Click Open once you have selected the backup file.

5. You will be prompted to select the location to restore to. Choose OK.

6. Select the restore location. For a single computer installation, this will usually be C:\Program Files\RezOvation. For a multiple computer, network installation, this may be the database store location on the server computer. If you are not sure where the database store location is, please contact the person who manages your network. To change the restore location, either select the Look in file menu at the top, or use the navigation buttons on the left.
7. Select the database to restore and click Open. For RezOvation Desktop version For RezOvation Desktop version 7 or newer, the database will be called RD2006.mdb. For RezOvation Desktop version 2006 or prior, the database will be called RD2004.mdb.

8. Your database will be restored. Close the File Utility and launch RezOvation Desktop.
To confirm that your data was successfully restored or to see if any data is missing, gGo to the Point of Sale screen to vew the most recent reservations that were entered or go to Reports > Miscellaneous > Log of Activity to see what transactions are included in the backup file.
Note: Each time you make a backup in RezOvation it keeps track of the backup file by naming it RezOvationBackup-MMDDYY.zip (where MM = month, DD = day, and YY = year). If you make regular backups, you should have a number of backup files in your C:\Program Files\RezOvation directory. You may also make backups to cd's and zip drives. Make sure you do not make a backup of a damaged file unless you change the name to something like: "damaged.zip" before you save the backup.
