RezOvation GT 4.2.18.14 Release Notes
Customer List
- Added the Company Name column (after First Name).
- Added automatic Zip code lookup. To use this feature, just enter the zip code and the city / state will be entered automatically.
Sale & Reservation List
- Added automatic deposit calculation, which will calculate deposits for reservations based on the settings under Configuration > Payments and Cancellation Fees .
- Changed "CheckedIn" on the list to read "Checked In".
Occupancy Map
- Improved Occupancy Map printing so that a date range can be selected, and the Occupancy Map is now generated in Excel. From Excel, you can easily scale the map or print multiple pages.
- Added a Print icon for occupancy map.
Reports and Letters
- Changed the layout of Template Index to add groups for "Booking Engine Document Templates", "Customer Document Templates", and "Reservation Document Templates".
- Added a "Blank Reservation Email" template, accessible from within Edit Reservation > Email.
- Added an
"Envelope" template type which is accessible from within Edit Customer > Print.
Note: in Word, you must use the "Envelopes and Labels" option to actually print the envelope. Once you have output the
envelope to Word from the Customer record, select Tools > Letters and Mailings >
Envelopes and Labels, and the customer information will be formatted for you. If
you wish, enter a return address, then click Print to print the envelope.
- Added a "Miscellaneous Letters " template type for Customers and Reservations.
Note: Miscellaneous Letters can be used to add any templates that do not fit within the standard document categories. Note that the Customers template uses the same codes as the Customer Detail template, and the Reservations template uses the same codes as the Confirmation Letter template.
Configuration
- Added option to merge multiple extra items from the Extras list.
Note: To merge extras, simple select the extras you wish to merge (click and drag to select, or use CTRL + click or SHIFT + click, just as you would in Windows Explorer), and click the Merge button. A new extra item will be created and the old extras will be merged into this new item.
Import / Data Conversion
- The "Reservation Name" field in Guest Tracker is now imported into the Group Name field.
Note: When the Group Name field is filled out, the Occupancy Map will display the Group Name rather than the Primary Guest Name.
Miscellaneous
- Added an improved calendar control, which allows you to enter dates free form (mm/dd/yyyy, e.g. 1/23/2007), and has better navigation via the calendar popup.
Note: This also fixes date-entry problems in the Rate Management section.
- Added an automatic update feature, which can be turned on from the Configuration section.
Note: If the automatic update feature is on, available updates will be downloaded automatically in the background and you will have an option to apply the update when you launch the software. You can also check for downloaded updates at any time by selecting Help > Install Update.
