How do I flag a "Bad Guest"?

Overview
There are a couple of different ways to flag Bad Guests (previous guests you'd rather not have back) in Guest Tracker. You may want use one or more of the following techniques depending on your particular needs.

Quick Links:
1.) Using Relationships
2.) Using Special Characters in the Name Field
3.) Using Interests

Using Relationships
The first technique uses Guest Tracker's concept of People Relationships to flag and group Bad Guests. This technique works best if you search for a person in the People section of Guest Tracker before making a reservation.
1.) Go to Preferences in the Admin section.

Admin: Preferences

2.) On the Preferences screen under the People tab in the Relationships area, change either Relation - 4 or Relation - 5 to "BAD Guest" or some other word or phrase you'd like to use as in the following graphic.

3.) Click OK to save your change.
4.) Now return to the People section and Edit a person who you'd consider to be a Bad Guest. In the bottom right hand corner of the Person Detail screen, click on the "BAD Guest" option to change this person's relationship to "BAD Guest" as in the following graphic.

Using Special Characters in the Name Field
The second technique is very simple and basically involves typing some special characters (i.e. !!! or @@@) at the end of a person's name. This technique works well if you use the Find feature on the Quick Reservation screen (click here for more info about using the Find feature on the Quick Reservation screen) to make reservations as you will immediately see the characters when you search for a name!
1.) On the following Person Detail screen you've added "!!!" after the last name of Ricardo & Janis Bohnam to indicate their BAD Guest status. You also included some notes about the problems they caused in the Notes field.

2.) The following graphic displays how this technique can be useful from the Quick Reservation screen. In this example, you used the Find button to search for names that start with "boh." The only name that appears is Bohnam!!!, Ricardo & Janis and you can quickly see that there is a problem with this guest by the !!! at the end of their name!

NOTE: Be cautious about which characters you choose if you use this technique. Stay away from the following characters: ##, ** and ??. These characters are called "wildcards" which means that you cannot search for them specifically in Guest Tracker.
Using Interests
A final option is to use Interests as a way of flagging bad guests. This technique provides the least visibility throughout Guest Tracker but can still be a useful way to flag bad guests.
1.) On the following Person Detail screen you've added an Interest called "BAD GUEST!!!" to Bohnam!!!, Ricardo & Janis to flag them as a Bad Guest.
