DSL/ADSL, cable modems, and direct network
connections do NOT dial in on your phone line. If you use one of
these high-speed connection options and Use Dial-Up Networking is
checked, un-check it.
If you do not use a modem that dials in on your phone line to
connect to the Internet, skip to step #5. |
| 4) |
If you use a modem that dial in on your
phone line to connect to the Internet, put a check in the "Use
Dial-Up" option. The three other lines in the Modem Settings box
will light up. The "Connect To:" box has a drop-down arrow
to the right of it. Click the arrow. All of the Dial-Up
connections you have set up in Windows should appear here.
Select the one you wish to use. (If none appear, check
your Windows Dial-Up networking settings and be sure that
your connections are set up with names of less than 20
characters.)
The User Name needs to be filled in with the username
that your ISP provided you to log in to your e-mail account.
The Password needs to be filled in with the password that
your ISP provided you to log in to your e-mail account. |

The main Email Settings box in this window
needs to be filled in completely.
The "Name:" field should be filled in with the name
that you want people to see your e-mail coming from.
"Return Email" is the address that messages will go
to if someone replies to your e-mail. It is usually a good idea
to use an address that you check regularly.
"Outgoing Server (SMTP):" is a crucial field. You need
to put the server name or address that your ISP gave you in this
area. This is the ISP's "post office", where mail collects
and then gets sent out to the world. If this field does not have
the correct information, your e-mail will not go out.
The top check-box, "Send BCC", when selected, sends
a copy of every e-mail you send to your Return Address.
The bottom check-box, "Enable Troubleshooting", won't
hurt anything if you check it off, but it should be left empty
unless you are instructed to check it off by a RezOvation Support
Representative. |

Once your settings are complete, click .
You should now be able to e-mail letters from Guest Tracker. |
