How do I find a person in my database from the Quick Reservation
window?
| Overview |
| The Quick Reservation screen, which is
used when making reservations from the Reservations Section and the
Occupancy Map, also provides a quick way to find people in your database.
Quick searching is helpful in reducing duplicate names in your database. |
| Step by Step |
| 1.) |
Go to the Quick Reservation screen. This
screen can be accessed by clicking the Add button in the Reservations
Section or by making a reservation from the Occupancy Map. |
| 2.) |
Type the first few letters
of the guest's last name into the "Name" field.
NOTE: Wild cards (the * and the ?) are valid here as well.
(See Quick
Searching for more information)
|
| 3.) |
If you are using version 2, click on the
Find button on the right side of the screen.
In version 3, just wait for a moment and the search will begin automatically.
|
| 4.) |
A list of names matching the criteria you
typed in back in Step 2 will appear.
|
| 5.) |
If the name you are looking for is in the
list, click on it and hit the OK button. Their information will be
filled in on the Quick Reservation screen automatically as in the following
picture.
If the name is not in the list and you are using version 2, simply
push the Cancel button to continue entering the guest's information.
In version 3, you may simply continue to enter the new guest's
information. In either version you can choose enter new search
criteria instead of entering new guest information, if you would
prefer.
