Guest Tracker Misconceptions
I have to switch my PMS right away.
We will continue to provide per-incident support for Guest Tracker (GT) users who have GT version 3.5 until further notice. We are also providing permanent unlock codes for all current users.
RezOvation just wanted to get rid of Guest Tracker.
Recent changes in technology are the primary reason for the GT retirement. For example, with the release of Service Pack 2 for Microsoft XP, GT will not work in a networked environment. With future Windows Operating Systems, GT will likely not be supported and may not run. We want to help innkeepers with the easiest and most cost-effective migration path to a new system before that happens.
RezOvation Desktop forces me to pay a commission on every reservation.
You pay commissions only if you decide to process online reservations through the RezOvation Booking Engine, an excellent way to sell more rooms, but an optional one.
Will I be able to use Webervations?
YES! You can continue to use any of a number of availability calendars in connection with the RezOvation PMS, including Webervations, Availability Online, and several others. For all of these calendars, you pay only an annual fee, not a per transaction commission.
RezOvation is too hard and too complex.
We understand that learning any new software program has its difficulties. Our sales and support teams are waiting to help transfer your data from GT to RezOvation, and to help you learn how the program works. The conversion wizard minimizes the effort of migrating to RezOvation Desktop and retains reservation and guest records.
I will not be able to get an unlock code for Guest Tracker.
We are now providing unlock codes on our website.
What about my GT support contract?
GT support contracts are no longer available. If you are using GT 3.5 you can purchase support on a per-incident basis.
