Overview
The Database Utilities program is used to help maintain and repair your database. They should be run on a regular basis, at least once a week, strictly as a preventive measure. They should also be run whenever there is any sort of a crash or other abnormal termination of your Guest Tracker program. Running through the Database Utilities is usually the solution to any unexpected Guest Tracker problem. If you are having such a problem, you will probably want to restart your computer before starting the Utilities.
Step-By-Step
1)	Exit out of Guest Tracker completely before trying to run any of the utilities.
2)	Start the Guest Tracker Database Utilities program as shown below.
3)	The utility programs should always be run in order, beginning at the top of the window.  From the Guest Tracker Database Utilities window, click the Verify button.
4)	The name of your current Guest Tracker database is displayed in the filename field.  Verify that this is the correct database, then click the OK button to proceed with the verification.
5)	When the verification is complete a status message is displayed, click the OK button.
6)	After running Verify, you should always run Compact (and before running Compact, you should always Verify). From the Database Utilities window, click the Compact button.
7)	The name of your current Guest Tracker database is displayed in the filename field, click the OK button to proceed with the compaction.
8)	When the compaction is complete, you will be offered an opportunity to save a backup copy of your database. If you click the Yes button to proceed, a backup copy of your database will be saved to your hard drive. If you click the No button to proceed, this extra backup will be deleted instead.
9)	You are done verifying and compacting your Guest Tracker database.
10)	In most cases, Verify and Compact are all you need to run to keep your database healthy or to repair any database problems. You may continue and run Analyze if you wish (or if an error message in Guest Tracker has instructed you to), or you may proceed to the next step.
11)	Click the Exit button to quit the Database Utilities program.
12)	Start the Guest Tracker program.
