How do I set which days are considered weekends?

NOTE: Only applies to Pro Version 3.0 and above

Guest Tracker gives you the flexibility to specify what days are considered weekend days at your property. This feature helps you control your rate structures and the look of certain areas of the program.

How to Specify Weekend Days

1.)

Click on the Admin menu and then Preferences.

Within the Preferences window, click on the Admin tab and click on your Weekend Nights in the bottom left corner of the window as shown in the following graphic. NOTE: The default Weekend Nights are Friday and Saturday.

Click OK to save your changes.

How this affects Guest Tracker

The Weekend Nights Preference has the following effects on Guest Tracker.

1.)

First and most importantly, the Weekend Nights Preference defines what nights get charged the Weekend rate within Nightly type package prices.

For example, let's say you have a Nightly package setup with $100 Midweek rate and $150 Weekend rate and you've set your Weekend Nights Preference to include Friday, Saturday and Sunday. When this package is applied to a reservation, the $100 Midweek rate will be charged for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The $150 Weekend rate will be charged for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The next thing you'll notice is the effects of the Weekend Nights Preference on the Occupancy Map. The nights you've specified as weekends will have a light gray highlight on the Occupancy Map. (The highlight appears slightly different depending on whether you are displaying Units Across the Top or Down the Side as shown in the following graphics.)

Finally, the same effect that you see on the Occupancy Map will be applied to the .html Calendars created by the Web Module if you are using the .html Calendars option within the Web Module.
