How do I set up the Web Module to update my own web page?

Overview
The .html portion of the Web Module is part of the Expanded Web Module available for Guest Tracker version 3 (and above).

Once you have arranged to send updates to your web site, you can use the Web Module build and upload calendar pages.

In Guest Tracker, you will need to make sure your units are properly configured (see How Do I Set Up Guest Tracker To Work With The Web Module) and then you will need to put information into the Web Module.

Step by Step
1.) Open the Web Module by double-clicking on it's desktop icon or by going through the Start menu.
2.) Click the Options button, on the right edge of the Web Module window. button on the right-hand side of the Web Module window.
3.) This will open up the Options window on the General Tab. In the upper-left corner you will see the Services available to your Web Module.

When you put a check next to the service you are interested in, a tab will appear for it at the top of the window.

If you have not purchased and entered the authorization code for the expanded Web Module, only the WorldRes option will be available.

4.) Click on the .html Tab to open up the .html settings page.

5.)

Displaying availability is done either by individual units or by groups of units (as set apart by the CLASS you have assigned them to in Guest Tracker).

You need to select the number of months of calendar pages you wish to have on your site (1 - 12).

You can choose to show each room individually, show the number of rooms you have available, or show YES or NO for availability.

If you wish to change colors or add your own .html code to your calendar pages, click the Custom .html button.

Dates are always shown at the top of your calendars. To show them at the bottom as well (useful if you have a lot of units), check the option box.

It is important to put in your web site's home address. A link to your home page will then be included on each calendar page.

If you choose to put in an e-mail address, a link to send a message to that address will be included on each calendar page.

6.) In order to upload to your web page, you will need to key in your specific FTP settings.

Click the FTP Settings: Change button. button.

7.) Key your specific information in to the FTP Settings fields.

The server name is the computer you are connecting to in order to send your updated information.

Many servers do not require a separate location name. If yours does, be sure to enter it here.

The username and password are very important. Although we have provided the option to upload anonymously, most web hosts do not allow that.

8.) When finished making any required changes, click OK to close the FTP settings window.
9.) Click OK to close the Options window.
