In some cases you may need to block a room or rooms out of service either due to repairs, because your inn is closed, or because you only want to selectively book rooms for certain dates (e.g. during a special event ). There are two ways to mark a room out of service: 1) block from the occupancy map (best when blocking a single room for a short period, or 2 or more rooms for a short period), or 2) block by picking a date range (best when blocking all rooms or a single room for a long period).
First option: block room(s) for a short period of time.
- Go to the Reservation Day screen.
- Click and drag to select just like you would when making a reservation. Right click and select "Mark Out of Service".

- Enter the reason for blocking the room(s) out of service.

- The out of service marker will appear in green, with with reason displayed.

Second option: block room(s) for a long period of time.
- Select the Edit menu, and click Mark Out of Service.

- Select the start and end date of the out of service, and select either one room or click Mark All Out of Service to block all rooms at once.

- Enter the reason for blocking the room(s) out of service.

- The out of service marker will appear in green, with with reason displayed.
