Q: How do I record a cancellation fee on a reservation?
A: RezOvation Desktop includes a special "Cancellation" feature that allows you to quickly cancel a reservation and either refund any amount paid to the guest or apply a cancellation fee for any amount.
To access this feature, right-click on any reservation from the Reserve Day screen and select "Delete Reservation".

Meet the Staff: Paul Bui, RezOvation Desktop Product Manager |

As a self-professed "technology nerd", Paul is the perfect person to work on improvements and enhancements to the RezOvation software group. After earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Texas State University, Paul worked in sales and IT consulting before settling at RezOvation one-and-a-half years ago.
Besides knowing his way around a software program, he can also break down "tech-speak" into something everyone can understand. In fact, it’s one of his favorite aspects of his job at RezOvation. "I enjoy helping innkeepers understand how RezOvation products work for them, and I like developing new products that help them run their business efficiently," he says.
He says that the RezOvation products are built for efficiency: "It’s an all-in-one solution for innkeepers. They can run their inn, market their inn, and receive online bookings through one system."
When Paul isn’t helping to tweak RezOvation software, he can be found painting his new house.

Great news! Our 2-way GDS (Global Distribution System) integration is online! Now you can both automatically update rates / availability and download reservations made through the GDS (including Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, and travel agents through the SABRE network), without having to worry about any data entry!

As a part of our ongoing support of RezOvation
Desktop, we've released a new update which includes improvements to credit card processing and eliminates occasional problems with how invoice numbers are transferred to your processor.
The current version of RezOvation Desktop is
2006.1.5. Is your software up to date? To see what
version you're using, click on the Help menu, then
select About.

Sorting the Select Names List:
Did you know that you can quickly sort and filter guest names on the Select Names screen? Just left-click on any of the column headers in the list (e.g. "Last Name"), and select from one of the four options: Find, Select, Sort Ascending, and Sort Descending. Use "Find" to search for a guest name, or use "Select" to filter the list by guest name.
