Data portal communication error / register computer

If you are receiving a message that states you must register your computer, please do the following:

  • Close the dialog box with the message by using the "X" in the top right corner, or click the option to "Unregister".
  • The error should disappear, and not be displayed again.

If the error keeps recurring, please try the following:

  • Close RezOvation GT.
  • Go to My Computer and:
    • open the C drive
    • open the Program Files folder
    • open the RezOvation folder
    • open the RezOvation GT folder
    • open the System Files folder


  • Double-click on RezOvationAdmin (if you receive an error message – click Continue, close the window that comes up, and then open RezOvationAdmin again)

  • Click the link “Click here to reload job files”



  • Close the RezOvation Admin application
  • Restart your computer.

Error starting RezOvation GT

First, if you have not already downloaded the update, click here to download and install it:

VISTA USERS

If you are not able to install this update, please disable Windows Vista User Account Control (UAC) as follows:

1)            Click the Vista Start button in the lower left-hand corner of your screen followed by Control Panel.
2)            Switch to Classic View by clicking the link on the left-hand pane of the Control Panel window.
3)            Double-click User Accounts.
4)            Select the option labeled "Turn UAC On or Off."
5)            If the box labeled "Use Windows Vista User Account Control…" is checked, uncheck it.
6)            Click OK.
7)            Restart your computer.

After installing the update, restart your computer.

If this problem persists, Please try restarting the SQL Express and Rezovation Property Manager services as follows:

1)            Click Start -> Run (Vista users:  Click Start -> Search)
2)            Type 'services.msc' (no quotes) and hit Enter
3)            Scroll down and click on the "Rezovation Property Manager" service to highlight it.
4)            Click on the blue Restart link at the left.  If Restart is not an option, select Start.
5)            Next, scroll down and click on the "SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS)" service to highlight it.
6)            Click on the blue Restart link at the left.  If that option is not visible, select Start.
7)            Wait fifteen seconds.
8)            Start RezOvation GT normally.
