SuperInn is a web-based system from a company called Sark-tech with some property management features along with an online booking engine. Like all web-only based systems, your internet connection must be working, preferably fast in order for it to function.
Super Inn provides no local copy of customer data and no functionality in the event of internet slowness or an outage. You pay monthly for the life of the system, whether you use it for one month or twenty years. If you are not interested in doing online bookings, web-based systems are generally not a good option as they are slower, limited in functionality, and much more expensive over the long-haul.
Super Inn has a very good looking website booking engine interface that we believe would convert customers well, however Superinn has no connectivity to any other web sites like Expedia or Travelocity, nor does it connect to GDS systems or to other reservation systems like Webervations. Superinn also does not provide a Lodging Certified credit card processing gateway for guests that book over the phone or for payments taken when the guest checks in / checks out and no connection or data feed to accounting software like QuickBooks. There has already been one major credit card processor who has cut-off any lodging properties processing credit cards through them that were not using a gateway certified for lodging.
